Learning Goals:
At the end of this lesson students will create a presentation using the technique known as "App Smashing". Students will showcase their understanding of the fraction unit, in one, culminating presentation. The presentation will include the following:
Students will create visual images of fractions.
Students will use the visuals in order to compare the following fractions:
Students will compare one pair of equivalent fractions.
Students will compare one pair of fractions with a common numerator
Students will compare one pair of fractions with a common denominator.
Studentswill use the app "Popplet" in order to map their comparisons.
Students will use the app "Educreations" in order to narrate their presentation.
Students will share their final project with the class.
